Team Strategy and Machine Concept

Our team strategy is to use a rod and push the balls over to the opponent side. In order to achieve this, we have came up with a machine that utilizes a rotating extendable arm to push the balls out of our slot and let them roll over to the opponent side.
The arm is used to push the balls over by a sweeping motion. The arm is extendable so that all the balls in the slot can be swiped up.

The box hanging at the bottom of the box houses a motor to drive a rack and pinion on the rod that will extend or retract the extendable arm depending on the command of the operator.

There is a pair of rails inside the box to guide the motion of the box so that it will remain stationary relative to the arm, and ensure that the motor remain in contact with the rack at all times.
